Meg Matuska, Director of Music and Liturgy
Meg Matuska began working in full-time music ministry in 1999, serving Resurrection Parish in Solon and Communion of Saints Parish in Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland, before coming to St. Hilary (Fairlawn) in 2023. She holds a Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in Violin Performance and Suzuki Method Pedagogy, and a Bachelor of Music from the Catholic University of America.
Meg is most passionate about passing on the faith to the younger generations through her work with children’s choirs, and has been a presenter on that topic at National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM) conventions and Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) meetings. Her children’s choirs have recently participated in festivals sponsored by Pueri Cantores, as well as the Cleveland NPM Chapter.
Meg served for eight years on the NPM Board of Directors, and was Editor of Music Reviews for NPM publications. She is a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra, where she serves as musician representative to the Board of Directors.
As Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Hilary, Meg leads the 11:00 am Mass Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, and a cantor program. She also chairs the Liturgy Planning Team, and assists with weekend liturgy preparation.
