St. Hilary Parish & School is currently seeking a full time custodial/maintenance worker to join our Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate is positive, reliable, and capable of maintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public. Demonstrates strong work ethic and possesses effective written and verbal communication skills. Lastly, the ability to work well with others and independently.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Vacuuming, moping, shampoo/spot clean carpets and furniture, washing windows.
• Removes trash in accordance with established procedures.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms, locker rooms, cafeteria, classrooms and hallways.
• Operates power equipment such as carpet cleaner, pressure washer, hand and power tools.
• Distributes supplies, equipment (e.g. fill soap dispensers, towel/toilet paper dispensers, packages, furniture, etc.) for the purpose of distributing materials to appropriate parties and/or locations.
• Providing assistance and information to those who use the facilities.
• Secures facilities and grounds, depending on shift. (e.g. lock doors, turn off lights, set alarms, etc.)
• Set up and tear down for different events during school, in the evenings, and on weekends.
• Each custodial has a scheduled work time. When school is closed for a calamity day or for summer; hours may be more flexible.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
